infinity car speaker For Your Reading Pleasure'Sounds Of Silence' For Cancer Cure Deafening
The Major News Media missed reporting a breakthrough treatment for the prevention of cancer. Why? Is it because this breakthrough isn't a drug but a simple inexpensive multivitamin with folic acid that can prevent cancers up to 50%? If it were a pharmaceutical that achieved such astounding results it would be in all the news reports on television and newspapers. Is it because there is a bias against vitamins and nutrition which are non-drug treatments or because there is no benefit for Big Pharma?
The headline in the New York Times, LA Times, etc and the sound-bite on the CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX evening news should have read:
New Major Cancer Protective Treatment ? A New Breakthrough ?Drug? That Prevents Cancers in Children -
Unfortunately it didn?t. I Googled this study from the February 21, 2007, medical journal Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and nada! The major news outlets in Canada carried it but not in the Good Ole? USA unless you include the Redding News.
?This is almost too simple an idea for people to take seriously, but they should take it seriously,? said Dr. Gideon Koren, director of the Motherisk program at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Globe and Mail.
Vitamin Prevention Worth A Pound Of Cancer Cure
Of course the real reason this 'breakthrough' information wasn't reported on in the MNM (Major News Media) was because it wasn't a Pharmaceutical (with major advertising dollars on the line for MNM) but a simple cheap once a day multivitamin with folic acid.
"Simply taking multivitamins and folic acid during pregnancy can help a mother reduce her baby's risk of developing the most common childhood cancers by almost 50 per cent, a new study from Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children says." Toronto Star
?The startling finding that a cheap supplement purchased at a drugstore can prevent cancer as well as a range of birth defects adds weight to the theory that micronutrients have lifelong health benefits for the developing fetus.? Globe and Mail.
Unfounded Bias Against Vitamin Supplements
Maybe the MNM didn?t pick up the story because of a bias against vitamins from so-called vitamin experts like Rory Collins, Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at Oxford University who was reported as saying. ?
?It has been said that Americans have the richest urine in the world, because they consume a lot of expensive vitamins and then just pee them out? There is no good evidence that any vitamin supplements are effective. So if you are going to waste your money on these unproven vitamins, you may as well waste less money on the cheaper ones.? As reported in the newspaper ? The Independent (London), Feb 9, 2004 by Catherine Nixey.
Or maybe - the New York Times article (April 29, 2003) conclusion that ?multivitamins have not been shown to prevent any disease and that it is easy to reach high enough doses of certain vitamins and minerals to actually increase the risk of disease?
For if physicians and the news media can't be trusted to get even the basic checkable facts right about vitamins, why should any of their opinions be taken seriously? A cursory look at the scientific medical literature reveals the false propaganda from these two sources.
Medicine Acknowledges Vitamin Supplements- the 'Checkable Facts'
The Journal of the American Medical Association in 2002 reversed its historical anti-vitamin policy by acknowledging that ?it appears prudent for all adults to take vitamin supplements?
In 1998 an Editorial in the New England Journal of Medicine was titled: "Eat Right and Take a Multivitamin."
Harvard Public Health ? "Today, though, there's good evidence that taking a daily multivitamin makes sense for most adults?(and) may prevent heart disease, cancer, osteoporosis, and other chronic diseases."
A Summary of a few of the Positive Vitamin Studies
The Nurses' Health Study of over 87,000 women showed that the - "Long-term use of multivitamins may substantially reduce risk for colon cancer." Annals of Internal Medicine 1998.
A 19,000 patient study found Vitamin C lowered the "mortality (death-rate) from all-causes?" Lancet (2001)
A pooling of the data from several studies "concluded?that 1,000 IU of oral vitamin D per day is associated with a 50% reduction in colorectal cancer incidence." Recent Results in Cancer Research (2007)
If one was to read these studies one would conclude that supplements have a role to play in prevention of disease. Of course if one was to ignore these studies and or look for negative improperly done studies one could possibly show negative results by selective research to scaremonger, which is a common tactic of Big Pharma, MNM and the Medical Establishment.
Vitamins Cost Savings to the System
Taking a multivitamin for at least 11 years would save the system $58.1 billion as reported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) State-of-the-Science Conference on Multivitamin/Mineral Supplements and Chronic Disease Prevention. May 15?17, 2006
So there?s the crux of the matter, savings of billions of dollars to the system which would normally be shared by the Medical Establishment, Big Pharma and the Major News Media. With a close to 50% prevention for some cancers, an inexpensive multivitamin doesn?t have enough profit to go around. Now you know why the ?Sounds of Silence Were Deafening for the Cancer Cure.?

Home Theater Receiver Buying Guides
The home theater receiver (also referred to as an AV Receiver) not only provides power to the speakers, but serves as an integrated control center for all of your components, often times providing both audio and video switching.
The receiver is both the "smarts" and the "power" behind a home theater system. It takes the audio signals from all of your source components, performs any needed decoding and post-processing, amplifies the signal to power your home theater's array of loudspeakers, and controls the playback volume. For video signal, the receiver performs the necessary switching and outputs it to your TV. With all this functionality, a receiver is one of the more complex and expensive components in a home theater or home audio system.
* The most important factor in connecting theater components today is using the newest interfaces available. High-definition televisions use an interface called High-Definition Multimedia Interface. HDMI combines digital audio and video together. If your HDTV does not have the HDMI interface, your receiver will be ready when you upgrade the HDTV in the future.
* Digital Versatile Disc and compact disc (CD) players, computer graphics cards, liquid crystal display (LCD) monitors and portable electronic devices like digicams and cell phones are all migrating to a new audiovisual standard called Unified Digital Interface (UDI). UDI is compatible with the HDMI used on HDTVs. With UDI input and output ports on your receiver, you will be able to take advantage of the latest interfaces for Dvd/Cd players and portable devices. A receiver with a UDI-out port can also connect to a UDI-enabled computer graphics card to stream television to the computer.
* The receiver should also able to accommodate optical or digital audio interfaces, as well as older style analog left/right cabling. In other words, it should be backwards compatible with older technology so that you can upgrade existing components at will.
* While stereo receivers only support two speakers, home theater receivers support surround sound, or multiple speaker systems. The most basic configuration is 5-1 surround sound, which includes five speakers and a subwoofer to deliver bass. Newer configurations include 6-1 and 7-1 surround sound, or seven and eight speaker systems respectively, with a subwoofer included in each case.
* A receiver might also support a second set of remote surround sound speakers. These speakers might be located in a bedroom or on a sundeck. Remote surround sound speakers can be activated separately from the main speaker system.
* To easily set up a surround system, look for a receiver that offers automatic calibration. These receivers come with a small microphone and front microphone port. The microphone is placed in the area where you would like the sound to be optimum, such as on a facing couch at ear-level. By engaging the calibration program, the receiver emits a series of signals and sound effects, electronically measuring when each speaker's output reaches the microphone. The receiver's speaker channels self-adjust so that, regardless of speaker distance, sounds reach the microphone at the same time. This creates a perfect "sweet spot."

We hope that this ending of our article on hdmi400 4m proves to be a beginning to your interest in hdmi400 4m! Now get down to learning more about hdmi400 4m!
Another Great hdmi400 4m ArticleTeach a child the alphabet sounds in days!
If you want your child to learn to read in a hurry, consider having them learn with phonic letter magnets on your refrigerator. The letters will never have to be put away, and the opportunity is always ripe for learning.
I defintely think both kids are now aware of the letter recognition with the picture. We have the magnets in alphabetical order - Caiti (5) was originally mumbling her alphabet song; now she sings it clearly and all the letters perfectly because of help of the magnets!!!! When we are reading Caiti is sounding words out. Now she is in Kindergarten and is learning some of that too, but TJ (3) is really learning a lot of it too. He know just about all of his letters and is always at the fridge with the magnets. They both say, for example, "Igloo," then they say other words that start with I.
Children learn according to their learning style, and many times in the traditional schoolroom, not all three styles are catered to. Our phonic letter magnets are automatic visual, tactile and auditory learning tools that teach each alphabet letter's shape and its corresponding phonetic sound. Learning each letter's shape and sound simultaneously speeds up the learning process, and your preschooler will likely be ready to read by the time she starts kindergarten.
My DD sits in front of the fridge playing with them. She told me yesterday that I'm the 'Q', which is the Queen so I was chuffed. Thanks, Marisa, Ireland
Our phonic magnets are extremely unique as we have three essential features in our sets that make them stand out from the competition.
-Each set contains the long AND short vowel sounds
-Each letter/picture combination is FULLY backed with a 1mm magnetic layer - they simply cannot fall off your refrigerator door.
-Each letter and picture are together on one magnet.
I received my order today - thanks, that was quick! The letter magnets are darling. I really love the pictures on them. I know we'll get a lot of use out of them. Yvette, CA
Each set has 35 letters - the 26 letters of the alphabet, short and long vowel sounds and an additional four (of the most used) consonants, priced at $8.95 per set. Visit our website: www.eagermind.com to find out more.

Sally Hanan is an Irish writer and business woman who like to "keep it real".
Website Audio
Websites fall into one of two broad categories. They either provide information, services and products for free (resources), or they provide one or all of the same services in exchange for money (businesses). There are of course, a number of hybrid sites that offer both.
This article is aimed at those that operate an on-line business, but feel free to read on if you don't!
Okay, so you have a website that offers a product or service for a fee, you have sweat blood and tears to optimise your website, and your pay-per-click advertising is bringing prospective customers in. Fantastic news. You have a major problem however, conversion rates are less than woeful and there is many a time when your 'Cost Per Customer' actually outweighs your marketing spend. Running a business this way results in only one outcome, i won't spell it out because it's a dirty word.
This brings me onto the point of conversion rates, how do you increase them? If i had the definitive answer i wouldn't be sat here writing this article, i would be scuba diving off the Great Barrier Reef but i digress. What i do have, is some very useful information relating to a currently very underused on-line marketing technique, streaming website audio.
I'm sure we have all stumbled upon some pretty awful websites, you know the ones, with the animated dog running from side to side, with the MIDI version of the Star Wars soundtrack blaring out at you. Erase those images from your mind, we're not going there today (although i may tomorrow, for nostalgia's sake)
I am referring to targeted audio, produced by professionals with one result in mind, more profit for your business.
Audio on the internet is a minefield, with all kinds of compatibility issues & users connections speeds to contend with, up until now that has been a good enough reason for websites not to get involved. What was needed was a universal audio player, so everybody on the web could listen to audio without the need to download files and listen through an external media player. Well, utopia is just about here.
Flash audio is the answer to many a website's dreams. 96% of all internet users have the flash plug-in already installed on their computer, flash audio also streams right on the page, no need for downloads. File sizes are tiny as the player interface is the only component downloaded, with the audio loading as it plays in real time.
So with that major obstacle finally overcome, the only real question left is ?how can my website use audio to it's advantage??
Look no further than your radio or TV set. The guys behind these adverts know what works. Now you can apply the same methods on your website. To give you a statistic, websites that sell products benefit in a huge way from having sales related audio on their page, with recent figures showing up to a 33% increase in sales. Think about it, you can't control what your visitors read but you most certainly can control what they hear.
You can take advantage of methods the TV and radio marketing wizards have been using for years.
Jingles are another massive pull for websites. Brands the world over make use of 'sonic logos' to create memorable names, facts and numbers. In a website environment the power of this is magnified. For starters, visitors aren't expecting to hear a jingle when they visit your homepage so the novelty factor in itself is a good enough reason for them to recall that all important domain name. A good quality jingle will also separate your business from the rest of your probably fierce competition, it strengthens your on-line brand and re-enforces a prospective customers confidence in your business, knowing you have gone that extra mile. From a vanity point of view, there's also the show off factor!
If you have a website that is full of drop down menus and text boxes, it can be confusing for the novice users out there, remember not everybody is as up-to-date with buying on the web as you are. This is where streaming instructional narrative comes in handy, verbally walking the customer through your site, explaining the way it works and the process they should follow in order to make a purchase.
Testimonials from customers are a good confidence builder when selling your company and a great number of people read these before making a decision to buy from you. Imagine the power of having that testimonial spoken by your customer, that really does erase any doubt in your prospective customers mind that the testimonial may not be legitimate, put yourself in their shoes and think about it.
There are a hundred and one uses for audio in a web environment, all you need do is put your creative hat on, or find a company that will take you through the process from end to end. Whatever it is your website sells, it will benefit from having targeted streaming audio, end of story. Remember, people buy from people, not computers.

A klipsch pc speakers Artilce for Your ViewingLabel Your Enemy to Build a Team; Human Politics and Silly Sound and Fury
Well here we go again it must be election time and everyone is busy trying to condemn their political opponents on each side of the aisle. It seems like in the primate politics of the United States struggle for power in the House and the Senate we are seeing more labeling of your enemy to build your team. It is just more of the same human politics and sound and fury. Of course the mass media is having a field day with all this chaos and controversy and they wouldn't have it any other way.
Indeed, the mass media stands to make quite a bit of money during this election season with expensive television ads as well. What if all Americans turned off their TV sets? Wouldn't that be a hoot? All those politicians paying for all those expensive advertisements and no one was watching; what if instead the American people got smart and studied the candidates and their positions and the issues and voted with their brains, think what we could do with this country then.
Yes I know all that is wishful thinking because the American people have handed over their minds to the mass media hysteria and television sets and they no longer think. It is funny when election season comes around and all of a sudden every single issue is life or death and every single politician is called an ax murderer or worse? Where do the people come up with all this baloney?
It is just guerrilla warfare and primate politics on steroids being viewed in real time on television sets across the land. And apparently Americans wouldn't have it any other way. Please consider all this in 2006.

Learn how to capture audio
Capturing audio from your camcorder into your computer might be a main step to consider when transferring video data. This process might become complicated if you are transferring audio from a camcorder which does not support digital technologies and therefore this step would not be as easy to be achieved as if the camcorder would directly transfer digital audio.
When we have audio or video which origin comes from a camcorder that doesn't support digital video, we would need an extra device to capture it before being able to transfer it to the computer. This way, if we have analog audio and wish to capture it with the computer converting it into digital, we would need to go through an extra step.
There are special devices which were specifically created with the purpose of allowing its users to capture analog audio or video from their camcorders and turn them into digital compatible qualities. Once you have achieved this step, you could easily capture such digital audio or video with your computer the same way you would have done from a digital camcorder.
If you wish to capture video recorded with a camcorder into your computer, you would need to convert it into MPEG or MPG digital files in order to turn them into a digital technology compatible with those which your computer would read. Therefore, you would need a device which could achieve this objective and take this step before you are able to actually capture the files with the computer.
Many of these digital capturing devices would allow its users to capture audio as well as video and edit them together. This way, if you have captured video and wish that it has music or any other sounds; you can easily do so by capturing such audio files in different audio tracks, and then edit them in any way you might wish. These devices would allow you to learn what steps to take in order to achieve your capturing goals through their users manual and you could learn all the capturing possibilities it would bring through the instructions as well.
